Membership Eligibility
Requirements for membership are as follows:
- Must be a citizen of the United States, territories or possessions.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Facility (radio station, vessel, or aircraft) ownership and special skills are desirable but not mandatory.
- Must not have a felony conviction.
- Must not have a major misdemeanor conviction related to drug possession or use, sexual deviation, aggravated assault, etc.
Anyone who meets the above requirements can be eligible for membership. Present active duty or reserve members who also meet these requirements are welcome to be members.
It is suggested that interested individuals attend one of our monthly meetings and see how the Flotilla works at the "meeting" level. If you decide to proceed with membership, you will be given a packet of information about the Coast Guard Auxiliary and when ready, a short exam on that information will be administered. Your completed application is then submitted to the Auxiliary for processing. During this process, new members can begin participating in training opportunities to qualify in areas of interest. Once processing is complete, you are sworn in as a member and are able to participate in all Flotilla activities and pursue the training of your choice.
If you are interested in becoming a member, send a message to the Web Master using the link below and it will be forwarded to the appropriate staff officer.USCG Auxiliary Official Responsible for Content: Web Master
